Dear Colleagues.<\/h3>\n

As our Country is approaching the day of the next Presidential election our chapter is feverishly preparing for its next business meeting. Both events will take place on November 6. It is our civil duties to both vote and be active community members. \u00a0So on that day please vote and also attend our next meeting at the Delancey Street Foundation. Our \u00a0NCNMLG members\u2019 expectations are heightened as this is a very special meeting because the guest of honor will be none other than \u00a0Jane Blumenthal, 2012-2013 MLA President<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Jane\u2019s reputation is that she is a dynamic personable speaker, therefore we looking forward to an hour of lively interactive discussion with her.<\/h3>\n
\n

\u201cJane has more than 30 years experience in information and library services. She has earned a bachelor degree from the College of William and Mary and Masters of Science in Library Science degree from the Catholic University of America.\u00a0Jane has an AHIP at the distinguished level. \u00a0She has been a member of multiple professional associations, such as Medical Library Association (MLA) and the Association of the Academic Health Science Libraries (AAHSL).\u00a0Her past activities include chair of the MLA-AAHSL Joint Legislative Task Force, chair of the National Program Committee for the 2008 MLA annual meeting, chair of the Leadership and Management Section of MLA, and member of MLA\u2019s Credentialing Committee. She has also been a member of\u00a0 the AAHSL Board of Directors and chair of the American Diabetes Association\u2019s Publication Policy Committee\u201d.<\/h3>\n
