Driving
TRAVELING SOUTH FROM THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE/NORTH BAY
After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, stay in the right lane and take the Golden Gate Park/19th Ave exit. Turn right on Cabrillo Street and then left onto 14th Avenue. Proceed to Fulton Street and turn left. At the top of the hill, turn left onto Parker Avenue. Go two blocks and turn right onto Turk Street, then make an immediate left onto the Lone Mountain ramp between Parker Avenue and Temescal Terrace. Proceed to the visitor’s kiosk half-way up the ramp.
TRAVELING WEST FROM THE BAY BRIDGE/EAST BAY
After crossing the Bay Bridge, take the “101 North/Golden Gate Bridge” off-ramp. Take the off-ramp to its end, following the signs for Octavia Blvd/Fell Street. Proceed onto Octavia Boulevard. Turn left at the end of Octavia onto Fell Street. Travel approximately 1 mile to Masonic Avenue. Turn right on Masonic and travel 6 blocks. Turn left onto Turk Street, proceed about six blocks and pass the first ramp. Make a right onto the second ramp between Parker Avenue and Temescal Terrace. Proceed to the visitor’s kiosk half-way up the ramp.
TRAVELING NORTH ON 280 FROM THE PENINSULA/SOUTH BAY
Take Highway 280 Northbound. Take the 19th Avenue exit and stay in the left lanes. Stay on 19th Avenue for approximately three miles, through Golden Gate Park. Turn right onto Fulton Street. At the top of the hill, turn left onto Parker Avenue. Go two blocks and turn right onto Turk Boulevard, then make an immediate left onto the ramp between Parker Avenue and Temescal Terrace. Proceed to the visitor’s kiosk half-way up the ramp.

Parking

$20/per day: Monday through Saturday; Only credit cards are accepted for daily permits. No cash.
A limited number of daily parking permits are available for purchase at the Main Gate and at the Lone Mountain Gate on a first-come, first serve basis. These permits are valid in any parking lot, and any space unless it is designated otherwise. Visitor Gates are open Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, 7:45 a.m. – noon. Please note the gates are closed at 8 p.m. and any cars remaining in the parking lot will be ticketed and possibly towed. Street parking is not too difficult in the neighborhood after 8 p.m., however you should exercise standard precautions and make sure to lock your vehicle and keep any belongings out of sight.
