Loyola Village (apartment-style housing for guests 21 years of age and older, half-mile walk to the conference center)

Information about on-campus housing:

Loyola Village is a condominium complex that offers apartment-style living within walking distance of the campus (approximately one half mile to the Fromm Hall conference center). Loyola Village offers studio/1 bathroom, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom, 2 bedroom/1 bathroom, and 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartments. Each guest will be provided with linens (pillow, pillowcase, sheets & a blanket) and one medium-sized towel.

Each apartment includes a kitchen with a stove, oven and microwave. There are no utensils or pots/pans provided. If guests plan on cooking, they should bring their own cooking utensils.

There are no televisions in the common areas, and while guests will not have to share a bedroom (unless they request a double occupancy room), they may have to share common areas and bathrooms.

Payment for housing is required at the time of registration. Full refunds for cancellations will be granted until May 10th, 2019. No refunds are offered after May 10th.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 noon. USF will attempt to accommodate early arrivals and late check-outs.

    • How close is Loyola Village to the conference facility?

It is just over half a mile from Loyola Village to the Fromm Hall, the conference facility.

    • What are the Loyola Village reception desk hours?
      • The reception desk is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week.
    • Are there any hills on the walk from Loyal Village to the conference facility?

This is San Francisco, so you can expect hills everywhere you go. There is a hill you have to go up on your way to the conference facility, but it’s downhill on your way home!

    • Is there a shuttle to take me to the conference facility?

If, for accessibility reasons, you need transportation between the conference facility and Loyola Village, you can call USF’s Public Safety shuttle at (415) 422-4201

    • Will I have to share common space with other conference attendees?

Depending on the number of guest who choose to stay on campus, yes, some attendees may have to share common areas (living room and kitchen) within a Loyola Village apartment with other conference attendees.

    • Can I ask to be placed in an apartment with a friend?

Yes, please include this request in the notes field when you register for housing. We cannot guarantee placement, but we will do our best to accommodate requests.

    • Will I be provided with linens, blankets, and towels?

Yes, you will be provided with a pillow, pillowcase, sheets and a blanket, one medium sized towel, and body soap. You may wish to bring a large towel or robe, and toiletries.

    • Do the apartments have kitchens?

Yes, each apartment has a stove, oven, microwave, and kitchen sink. However, there are no cooking utensils or pots and pans in the apartment.

    • Are there grocery stores and/or restaurants nearby?

Yes, there is a Target about 3 blocks away and a Trader Joe’s 4 blocks away, along with a number of restaurants and cafes along Geary Blvd.

    • Is there a television in the apartments?

No, the apartments do not have televisions.

    • Is there wifi?

Yes, you will be able to use USF’s guest wifi.

    • When does housing registration open and close?

Registration opens in early March and closes on May 10th, 2019

    • What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Cancelled reservations will be refunded in full up until May 10th, 2019. No refunds will be offered after May 10th, 2019.

    • I’m not interested in on-campus housing. Are there any hotels nearby?
