I want to wish you all a joyous holiday season with your friends and loved ones! I hope you all have time to pause and reflect on what this past year has meant for you, your libraries, and organizations.

This has been an eventful year for our chapter. A few highlights from this past year: Jennifer Dinalo and Rachel Stark hosted dinner meetups in the South Bay and Sacramento. Julia Hause at the University of Touro University Nevada hosted a series of MLA Webinars on new and emerging roles for health sciences librarians. Suzanne Beattie and Eve Melton hosted our visit to the new Oakland Kaiser Library for the fall business meeting, where we learned about all the challenges of transitioning to a new and improved library space. And Claire Sharifi and the Professional development committee sponsored member attendance at the MLA annual meeting, the Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Denver Colorado, and the MS-HAIL program at UCSF.

NCNMLG members have shared their incredible work with a broad audience of colleagues, through posters and presentations at QUINT in Denver, the MLA Annual meeting in Chicago, and on this very blog! Thank you to Chezire Aclimados and the communications committee for everything they do to keep this website and our communication channels up and running.

Next year will be very busy for our chapter as we prepare for the next Joint Meeting of NCNMLG and our sister chapter MLGSCA, at Stanford University, in January, 2016. Thank you so much to everyone who has already been so generous with their time to plan this meeting. I am already excited for this event, and a chance to connect with more of you in person!

Again, thank you to all of you, and everything you do to help build a community of health sciences librarians through NCNMLG.

I look forward to working alongside you in 2015!
